DX-Schema – Standardized modular document system for a “digital-first” quality infrastructure

This report presents the DX-Schema project. The aim of this project is to establish a uniform “digital language” for the quality infrastructure and thus create a normative, modular basis for the secure, efficient, and machine-readable creation and processing of quality documents in accordance with the ISO/IEC 170xx series of standards, which also addresses equipment calibration, personnel certification, and reporting. Building on this, it enables the seamless, media-break-free exchange of quality data along the entire value chain in order to demonstrably increase the interoperability, robustness, and resilience of processes. The solution will be consistently embedded in Industry 4.0 concepts (AAS / asset administration shell) and designed to be compatible with federated data spaces and the Digital Product Passport (DPP). This report aims to present and discuss the project's objectives and increase acceptance and use among a broad majority of the community.
